Entry No. 251
This light fixture hung in the house I grew up in, in my grandmother's room. Sometimes I would lay on her bed staring at the light and daydreaming about all sorts of stuff. As an adult it has graced the ceiling in my home in my own bedroom for the last 11 years,--- up until about a week ago when my son broke it. I had played with the idea of trying to fix it and use it for another purpose, but it is really too fragile. It would seem an easy thing to throw away and replace, but it isn't for reasons too deep to go into here. Before I threw it away, I just wanted to see the light coming through it one more time.
don't throw it away yet- there's got to be something else that can be done if you cut out the damaged part.....
ReplyDeleteToo late. I thought about it, but the person in me who doesn't want to be featured on Hoarding: Buried Alive put it in the recycling bin as soon as I took the picture. (Yes, your encouragement made me go look today, but it's already broken more.)
