Wow, well here it is. The last picture in my one year series called Wonderlust. It's hard to believe that a just year ago I stepped into this project with the idea of taking one picture a day of something that caught my eye. I did not expect for it to change the way that I look at the world so dramatically. It has caused me to be more observant, and to see beauty where I thought there was none. To wake up excited about what I might encounter each day, and to see both the natural and man-made worlds as wondrous and worth celebrating. I'm also thankful for this shift in perception during what turned out to be the year that we lost two very cherished members of our family. My grandmother, Elizabeth Hooks, who at 102, was the beautiful subject of at least four of the entries, and my husband's great- grandmother, Rae Giannini, whose 108th birthday is recorded as Entry No. 279. It was a tumultuous year in many ways both in the external world and my internal world. So, it seems fitting that today's image should be the shining sun that pushed it's way through after the last few days of seemingly endless stormy weather.
endings and beginnings - congratulations. The dawn of another another day and another project :-) Well done, Sister :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, it feels strange not to be doing it these last few days.
